MHRA Cosmetic Procedure Supply Guidelines

The AAIC stipulates all members follow government protocols on Health and safety. In light of the recent changes to prescription services for injectable medicines we offer our member a direct link to the MHRA.

The MHRA is the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency, an executive agency of the Department of Health. They are the government agency responsible for ensuring that medicines and medical devices work, and meet the required safety standards.

Botox, Vistabel and Dysport are licensed medicinal products for specific medical conditions. The MHRA has not licensed these products for general cosmetic procedures, and therefore looking at the full MHRA guidelines here can help you understand the legislation that we all need to abide by in the dermal fillers, botulinum and injectables industry.
